From the Constitution & Bylaws, Article III. Membership:

1.    Requirements

1.1  APAEA Membership is open all permanent, temporary, and retired Forest Service employees who are committed to supporting the Mission and Objectives,   regardless of their ethnicity, race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, or familial status.

1.2  Forest Service employees may join APAEA at any time by contacting the Chair or Executive Committee.

1.3  Members shall comply with all legal requirements and policies imposed on USDA-recognized employee associations.

2.    Rights

2.1  All Members shall have voting privileges on applicable APAEA activities and decisions.

2.2  Members, including the Chair and Executive Committee, may serve as resources to Forest Service leadership on issues regarding Asian/Pacific Islander employees and public, however, APAEA or its Members do not comprehensively represent the broad array of perspectives among all Asian/Pacific Islanders.

2.3  APAEA Members shall be referred to as “Members” in the Constitution and Bylaws.
