We are very pleased to share with you the Special Edition Asian Pacific American Employees Association (APAEA) Newsletter for Spring/Summer 2015. This newsletter focuses on a few APAEA highlights from the 2015 Asian Pacific American Heritage Month back in May, including:
- The Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) National Leadership Training, including NFS Deputy Chief and APAEA Leadership Advisor Leslie Weldon’s Keynote Address
- An interview with Chief Tom Tidwell on Diversity and Inclusiveness in the Forest Service
- The winner of this year’s APA Heritage Month Observance Poster Competition and the special meet and greet received by the winner.
This newsletter was made possible through the leadership and hard work of one of our dedicated members, Fely Schaible, from the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. Thank you, Fely! APAEA plans to continue to offer a regular newsletter into the future. Please share ideas for stories or consider writing an article and send to Fely at fschaible@fs.fed.us.
